I know that this sounds an obvious thing to do but watch out! All registry fixer
software and Anti Virus is not the same!
So, the first step is to find out if the PC is actually running OK or is it spending
most of it’s time on irrelevant tasks. You can do this with a registry scanner.
Use a program which has a high-performance detection algorithm. It will quickly
identify missing and invalid references in your Windows registry and more importantly
fix them.
Be careful though .. I once used what I thought was a good tool and it made things
worse! My motto is “if it isn’t broken don’t fix it” but I bet you’ll be shocked
like I was by what you find! If your scan finds errors DON’T PANIC! A good registry
scanner will be able to fix any errors for you.

virus software. You know, the program you installed to help keep you safe. Well,
this stuff is actually running all of the time to keep you safe from hackers and
viruses and the like. The problem is that some programs seem to think that they
